The elders changed the tire and put the donut tire on. In the morning it was very low so we called JoAnna and she picked us up for church and Jack, her husband, took the tire to get it fixed. Following our meeting we stopped at JoAnna’s and Jack had put a plug in it because Wal Mart would not fix it. We spent all Monday morning getting the tire fixed and putting new brake pads on. It was good things that we had a flat or we would never have known how bad the brakes were. I guess that is a blessing in disguise.
We have spent the week visiting less active and some members. Friday we had a discussion with the Hall family. We gave them the Restoration. When their daughter arrived she wanted a Book of Mormon so we gave her one and told her about it. We wanted to get a meeting to come back but we didn’t. They did fill up five bottles of water for us. The following week we stopped to see them and we taught Carol Hall the Plan of Salvation. She has been reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it. We challenged her to baptism but she said that she is afraid of water. We will see. Her daughter doesn’t what to hear any more. We get Carol baptized then we can work on her family. We invited her to Relief Society workday on Saturday. We will see.
We visited with Linda Zerko again. She still does not get it. No matter what we say she still does not understand the priesthood and the importance of authority in the church. We hope that she comes to church. I think that is the only thing that she needs to fill the spirit there and to be welcomed by members of the ward.
Tonight is game night. JoAnna and I are in charge. It should be fun. We went to see Kathy Vessel and get her input because she has been in charge of it for the past year. She returned the temple dress that I gave her. She says that she doesn’t have time to go. She is moving to Dallas.
